Tucked along the banks of the Tansa river, Mohanji Datta Tapovan offers a rare kind of quiet — the kind that's easy to forget we need, in the busyness of everyday life.

This weekend retreat is an invitation to slow down. Over two unhurried days, you'll join daily aarati and quiet reflection, walk the grounds among the cows and farmland of our Gokulam Gaushala, and share simple vegetarian meals with others on the same path.

No prior experience with meditation or spiritual practice is required — just come as you are.

Daily Aarati & Meditation

Begin and close each day with guided aarati and quiet meditation by the river.

Time With the Gaushala

A guided visit to the Gokulam Gaushala and farm — time with the cows and the land.

The Mai-Tri Method

A guided group session in Mohanji's energy-cleansing practice — see below for more.

Why Join?

This retreat is ideal if you would like to:

  • Step away from routine and reconnect with yourself
  • Experience daily aarati and guided meditation in a peaceful, natural setting
  • Spend unhurried time with the land, the animals and the community here

What's Included

  • Full-day programming on both Saturday and Sunday
  • Daily aarati and a guided Mai-Tri Method session
  • A guided visit to the Gokulam Gaushala and farm
  • All vegetarian meals on-site
  • Free time to explore the grounds at your own pace

The ashram doesn't have overnight accommodation on-site — see the FAQs for nearby stay options, or write to mohanjidtbharat.manager@mohanji.org for help arranging a place.

The Mai-Tri Method

Mai-Tri is a practice of energy cleansing created by Mohanji, offered as part of this retreat. It works at a subtle energetic level to help release blockages and restore a sense of balance — many people describe a deep sense of calm and lightness afterward.

Mohanji Datta Tapovan is more than a retreat venue — it's a living sanctuary where people, animals and nature coexist. Spending a weekend here is a chance to feel that stillness first-hand.

Spaces are limited to keep the group small and the experience personal. If this calls to you, we'd love to have you join us.
